Teacher's Day is a day that is remembered every year in several countries in order to strengthen teaching skills. This is a special day which pays tribute to the men and women doing the job of being educators.
Most countries celebrate Teacher's Day on different dates, this is because each country on a certain date recalls an important event in one way or another influenced the education of each nation.
Teacher's Day Ecuadorian is celebrated every year on April 13, it is a special date that pays tribute to all persons performing this task of being educators, teaching many people from an early age with a lot of effort for that that education, good people leave.
ORIGINS IN ECUADOR
In 1920 during the government of President Baquerizo Moreno this date was declared as the "Day of the Ecuadorian Master" in fitting tribute to famous people who left their legacy in our history: Juan Montalvo (birth), Federico González Suárez (birth), Luis Felipe Borja (death) and many other illustrious teachers as brother Miguel, Juan Benigno Vela, among others.
CELEBRATION
In all schools in the country all students carry out programs for their teachers, many students decide to give roses or gifts to their favorite teachers to thank their attributes to them.
Normally programs are organized by the student government of the different courses and the committee of parents makes its presence by some presents for teachers of the courses.
The celebrations consist with cakes, candies or some food especially for teachers, it can also be stated with some numbers of students, to entertain or show appreciation they have for them, there are always poems, plays, dances, songs, etc.
After school on April 13 teachers have a small meeting to celebrate their day as they really deserve it, with food, music, dancing and great joy.
Being a teacher is not an easy job, a lot of effort, dedication, commitment and responsibility to educate is needed. To achieve this it also needs the help of teachers, parents and the students themselves. Each teacher, urban or rural; primary, secondary or higher education faces the task humanism itself has been imposed and that the nation has entrusted to him.
